Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is issued by Inzozi Solutions Ltd, trading as Register.rw, and covers both register.rw (this informational and marketing website) and client.register.rw (our ordering, billing, and support platform). Together they're referred to below as "our sites." It explains what information we collect across both, why, and how it's used.

Our Data Protection Registration

Inzozi Solutions Ltd is registered with Rwanda's Data Protection and Privacy Office (DPO), the supervisory authority established under Rwanda's Law N° 058/2021 of 13/10/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy. What We Collect on register.rw

This marketing site does not include sign-up forms, accounts, or checkout, so we don't directly collect names, emails, or payment details here. When you visit, we use Google Analytics to automatically collect standard usage data: which pages you view, how you arrived (referring site), broad device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics does this using cookies placed in your browser (see "Cookies" below).

What We Collect on client.register.rw

To create an account, register a domain, or order hosting on client.register.rw, we collect the information needed to provide that service:

Account and billing details: your name, email address, phone number, and billing address.
Domain registrant details: if you register a domain, the registrant, administrative, technical, and billing contact information required by the domain registry (RICTA for .rw domains). Registrant contact details we've checked are not exposed in public WHOIS/RDAP lookups for .rw domains; they're shown as redacted there.
Payment information: payments made via MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, or card are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number.
Support communications: anything you send us through a support ticket, live chat, phone, or WhatsApp.
Hosted content: if you use our hosting, the files, email, and databases you store there are processed on your behalf to provide the service; we don't access their content except to provide support or maintain the service.

How We Use It

We use register.rw's analytics data to understand which pages and content are useful to visitors, and to improve the site over time. From time to time, our team reviews aggregated analytics reports using internal tools such as Google Sheets. For example, we might export a summary of monthly traffic for review. This internal review doesn't involve sharing your data with any party beyond Google itself (see below).

We use client.register.rw's account, billing, and registrant data to register and renew your domains, provision and support your hosting, process payment, respond to support requests, and meet our own legal and accounting obligations.

Third-Party Services We Use

Google Analytics (Google LLC): collects the register.rw usage data described above. Google may process this data on servers outside Rwanda. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles it.
Google Workspace (Sheets): used internally by our team to review aggregated analytics exports, as described above.
RICTA: Rwanda's .rw domain registry. Registrant contact details for .rw domain orders are submitted to RICTA as part of registration, under its own data handling practices.
Payment providers: MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and our card payment processor handle the payment details needed to complete your transaction.

Cookies

On register.rw, Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and measure site usage. On client.register.rw, we use necessary session cookies to keep you logged in and remember your cart while you place an order; these aren't analytics or advertising cookies and can't be disabled without breaking login and checkout. You can block or delete the register.rw analytics cookies at any time through your browser's settings, or opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking those cookies doesn't affect your ability to use either site.

Your Rights

Under Rwanda's data protection law, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection and Privacy Office at dpo.gov.rw. To exercise any of these rights regarding data we hold, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

Children's Privacy

Our sites are intended for business and organizational use and are not directed at children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below.
