Make sure the domain is active
Check that the domain hasn't expired and isn't locked for transfer at your current registrar. Our free WHOIS lookup shows its status and expiry date.
Check the registrant email
Confirmation may be sent to the domain's registrant contact, so make sure that email address is current and that you can receive mail there.

How the Transfer Works

How do I transfer a .rw domain to Register.rw?+

What is an auth code or EPP code?+
It's a password for your domain, issued by your current registrar, that proves you're allowed to move it. Ask your current registrar for it, usually from their client area or by contacting their support.
Will my website and email go down during the transfer?+
A transfer changes who manages the registration, not where your website or email is hosted, so they keep working as long as the domain's nameservers and DNS records stay the same.
How much does it cost to transfer a .rw domain?+
